With the Herefordshire Means Business brand growing and expanding we decided that networking was one of the areas that we could develop next. With many Networking breakfasts already taking place in the county we wanted to look for a way to make ours unique. Following on from discussions with local business people, we decided that one of the main things people were looking for was a relaxed environment with new faces where people could chat and network without formalities.
We approached our partners Hereford Football Club and decided to hold the breakfast in their newly refurbished Executive Suite. Our first breakfast took place on the 12th January 2017 and was a huge success. With over 60 people booked, and a wide variety of business types the room was full of chatter with many new connections being made.

“I attended the first Hereford Means Business @Breakfast meeting this morning and very much enjoyed the event. The surroundings at Hereford FC were superb. The event was relaxed and informal. There were lots of new faces enabling me to connect with new contacts.”
After the first event, we contacted our attendees to find out if they had enjoyed the breakfast and if there was anything they would like to change. The feedback we received was amazing with many saying it was perfect the way it was.
Following this feedback, we organised our second event which was held on the 9th February 2017 again with over 50 booked the event went down as another achievement. Our guest speaker was Ian Davies from Like Radio who gave an interesting short talk on his business, something which many attendees wouldn’t know much about.
This was followed by Martin Brain, commercial manager of Hereford FC who showed a new exclusive first play of a short film about the football club highlighting how they can help local business with advertising and other commercial opportunities.
Hereford Means Business @ Breakfast is free to attend and all local businesses are welcome to come along. They are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Our next meeting is the 9th March from 7.30-9.30 and tickets can be booked in advance from our Eventbrite page. www.hmbiz.eventbrite.com
