We would like to thank all those who joined us at the October Hereford Means Business @ Breakfast meeting held at Hereford Football Club in aid of Breast Cancer Haven during the October Breast Cancer awareness month.

The HMBiz team awaited the arrival of the early morning delegates, dressed in their pink gear with the registration table laid out with pink delegate badges.

It was not long before the room was full with over 55 people dressed in pink, networking and buying raffle tickets in hope of winning one of the great prizes including vouchers for Fodder and Rocket Café and a pink DAB radio kindly donated by Like Radio. The HMBiz team would like to say a special thanks to all those who kindly donated prizes.

Alison from Breast Cancer Haven gave an informative talk on their work and the support they give and about forthcoming events they have coming up including the “Turkey Trot!!”
Following the successful event, Kerry and I (Kim) were invited to visit the Breast Cancer Haven on behalf of the Herefordshire Means Business team.
We were welcomed by Alison and the team and taken on a guided tour.
The first thing you notice when you enter the building is how beautiful and light it is with a stunning mural of trees painted on the entrance wall with various breeds of birds hidden amongst it all.
Even though the road outside the building is busy with cars and shoppers, you feel like you are hidden away with the feeling of instant calm and peace. There are beautifully decorated therapy rooms, with specialist staff catering for everyone from first diagnosis, going through treatment, to after care.
They hold regular classes including yoga and Tai Chi, as well as seminars providing people with the best possible support.
We were delighted to provide Breast Cancer Haven with a cheque for £100, which was raised at the Herefordshire Means Business @ Breakfast
