Christmas comes to the Shire Hall!!

The second Herefordshire Means Christmas event took place on Saturday 25th November at the Shirehall in Hereford all in aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance charity.

With the snow falling outside and over 35 exhibitors booked we opened the doors with stands full of Christmas crafts including cards, gifts, wreaths, cider and much, much, more.

This year we were very pleased to have Maac, the Air Ambulance mascot with us for the day. He ventured out all over Hereford encouraging people to come and get their free Mulled wine and mince pies as well as buy some stocking fillers and gifts.

We must give special thanks to a Blast of Brass who gave up their own time to such a worthwhile cause to play Christmas carols to all the visitors.

Festive music filled the room from our media partners Like Radio, while guests enjoyed face painting for the children, letters to write to Santa, a bottle store and, of course, free Mulled wine and mince pies.

At 12 noon we also had a very special visit from Santa himself. He arrived to the sound of Jingle bells and handed sweets out to all the children. He even stopped and posed for a few photos!!

We were very pleased to welcome the Right Worshipful Mayor of Hereford Sharon Michaels who attended the event and took time to talk to stand holders and even buy a few Christmas gifts.

One Visitor to the event said:

“I really couldn’t believe what talented people live in and around Herefordshire.”

We are delighted to confirm that all funds will be donated to Midlands Air Ambulance to help towards the running of this very worthwhile cause.
